1. Agreement to Terms
By booking a consultation with Tim Wilson / Tim the House Whisperer ("Consultant"), you ("Client") agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Services Provided
What's Included:
-
On-site property consultation. (45-60 minutes)
-
Assessment of renovation feasibility from a construction perspective.
-
Creative suggestions for home modifications.
-
Guidance on whether to hire designer, architect, or sub contractors or general contractor.
-
Written report with recommendations.

What's NOT Included:
-
Contractor recommendations or referrals.
-
Budget estimates or cost projections.
-
Architectural, engineering, or design services.
-
Building permits or code compliance certifications.
-
Structural engineering assessments.
-
Any guarantees about costs, feasibility, or outcomes.​
​
Important: The Consultant is not a licensed architect or engineer. The Consultant is a licensed contractor and advisory service provider. Services are advisory only, based on 38+ years of construction experience.

3. Fees and Payment
-
Standard Consultation: $250 CAD per property.
-
Add-On Properties: $150 CAD each. (same client in the same time period of first standard consultation.)

Payment due upon completion of the report.
-
No show fee ($100) required after 15 minutes no show.
-
No hidden fees or ongoing commitments.

4. Cancellation Policy
Call or email ASAP if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. No cancellation fee if you notify before 2 hours of the scheduled appointment time we agreed on.

5. Client Responsibilities

Provide safe access to all areas of the property.

Be present during consultation.

Provide accurate information about the property.
-
Verify all recommendations with licensed professionals before proceeding.

6. Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS:
The consultation is advisory only. The Consultant provides opinions based on visual observation and experience but makes no warranties or guarantees regarding:

Accuracy or completeness of assessments

Cost of renovations or feasibility of projects
-
Compliance with building codes
-
Hidden defects or problems not visually apparent
-
Success of any suggested approach

The Consultant's total liability for any claims shall not exceed the consultation fee paid.

The Consultant is not liable for:

Decisions made by the Client based on the consultation

Actions or performance of third-party contractors, designers, or architects
-
Unforeseen construction problems or cost overruns
-
Changes in building codes or regulations
-
Conditions not visible during the consultation

You are strongly encouraged to:

Hire licensed professionals (architects, engineers, contractors) for all renovation work
-
Obtain proper building permits
-
Get multiple professional opinions before proceeding
-
Conduct independent verification of all suggestions

7. Right to Refuse Service
The Consultant reserves the right to refuse or reschedule service due to:

Unsafe or hazardous site conditions.
-
Threatening or inappropriate behavior.
-
Conditions preventing safe evaluation.
-
After a no show missed appointment.

8. Report Use
The written report is for your personal use only for the evaluated property. It may not be shared commercially or presented as professional engineering or architectural documentation.

9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
​
10. Modifications
The Consultant may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance.
